On March 8 2008 some 200 friends of Ted Noffs joined the fabulous Bob Downe and journeyed down the Yellow Brick Road to the Emerald City at Sydney’s new hot motorcycle showroom Deus ex Machina to help raise money for the Ted Noffs Street University which will open it’s doors in Sydney’s Liverpool in late 2008.

The night was an amazing success and over $20,000 was raised to help fill the empty shell in Liverpool with life!

There was the highly anticipated silent auction of the Ruby Slippers specially designed by Australia’s leading fashion names including Toby Jones of Ksubi, Charlie Brown, Jackie Recek of Simona, Orson&Blake, Capital L, Marnie Skillings and renowned artists such as James Gordon, Mary Shackman and Michael Herford created their interpretation of OZ which were also auctioned.

Thanks to everyone involved for making it a success including Dare Jennings and the Deus team, Alex McGuigan, David and Rae Milton of Musicland, Ann de Wachter of ADW Communications, Virginia Gay, Jamie and Aspasia from FBi, DJ Matty Bee, Stephanie Brentnall-Dale and Loene Carmen.

And, of course, to all designers!

We hope to see you all next year when we…..
