Fundraising/Bequest Officer

Ted Noffs Foundation is Australia’s leader in helping young people with serious Alcohol and Other Drug, Mental Health and Legal issues. We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Fundraising/Bequest Officer to join our team during an exciting growth phase. The successful candidate must have an excellent track record in one of the following fundraising areas: direct marketing; corporate fundraising; workplace giving appeals; e-marketing; e-mail and on-line fundraising or proven experience in achieving donation income.
This is an exciting and challenging role requiring a dedicated person with exceptional communication, organisational and negotiation skills.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Generating income from appeals, trusts, foundations, charitable commissions, donors, bequests and other associated activities.
- Maintaining and growing the organisation’s database of existing and prospective donors.
- Maintaining contact on a regular basis with existing individual and corporate donors.
- Researching trusts and foundations seeking funding and, where appropriate, developing and submitting proposals.
- Promoting awareness of the organisation’s bequest program to both existing and prospective donors.
- Ensuring targeted and accurate distribution of organisation’s promotional material.
- Achieving a high profile for the organisation by public speaking to interested groups.
- Marketing activities including the newsletters, brochures, information sheets, press releases and website.
- Prepare and send out media packs to individuals, media and corporates.
- Assisting with Special Events as required.
The successful candidate will have:
- At least 1-3 years experience in fundraising activities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Good organisational and administrative skills.
- Displays enthusiasm and innovation.
- An excellent track record in one of the four fundraising areas
- Direct Marketing
- Corporate Fundraising
- Workplace giving appeals
- E-marketing, e-mail and on-line fundraising
- Proven experience in achieving donation income
